Since May 30, 2022, “Taste of Chaozhou” has aired on CCTV-2’s documentary program three days a row. GDTV and CZBTV created the series under the guidance of the CPC Chaozhou Municipal Committee and the Chaozhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. It illustrated how Chaozhou cuisine was passed down and innovated, as well as its history, evolution and potential future. The people and stories behind the local dishes reflected the vibrant culinary tradition of the city.
