The 2nd International Chaozhou Cuisine Cooking Competition and Chaozhou Food Culture Week to be Held in September!

The 2nd International Chaozhou Cuisine Cooking Competition and Chaozhou Food Culture Week will be held in Chaozhou in mid-to-late September by the China Hospitality Association, the People’s Government of Chaozhou Municipality and the Teochew International Federation.

(1) Opening Ceremony of the 2nd International Chaozhou Cuisine Cooking Competition and Chaozhou Food Culture Week

(2) The 2nd International Chaozhou Cuisine Cooking Competition

The Competition is open to domestic and international Chaozhou cuisine chefs and local household restaurants and catering businesses. Each contestant will be given a local ingredient to prepare two Chaozhou hotdishes, one predetermined and one of their own design, using any Chinese cooking methods.

(3) City of Gastronomy: Chaozhou Cuisine Tasting Session

Session participants will be treated to a Chaozhou-style banquet featuring local specialties and the city’s folk and culinary cultures. They can discover how unique and inventive Chaozhou cuisine is.

The winners of the 2nd International Chaozhou Cuisine Cooking Competition will be revealed. Food, ingredients, representative culinary enterprises and inheritors of local flavors of Guangdong’s Cuisine of Geographical Indication will be announced.
