The inaugural meeting of Standardization Alliance for Chaozhou Cuisine initiated the standardization of the city’s food service industry.
Organized by the Municipal Bureau of Quality Supervision, the meeting was attended by more than 20 representatives and chefs from the Municipal Standardization Association, an advanced technical school, Research Institute for Chaozhou Food and several well-known enterprises. Following the establishment of the Alliance, relevant regulations were reviewed and approved. Through recommendation, Fang Shuguang, Zheng Zhuyang, Wu Ziqing and some other people would work as a group on drafting the standards for local dishes. They briefed on the first draft and specified some basic items.
The Alliance will work with the government, relevant enterprises and famous chefs to formulate tailored standards that meet the actual and latest industrial conditions. A set of uniform, coordinated and consistent standards will help balance the inheritance and innovation of local food and develop the city’s catering industry with improved quality.
