An ongoing global contest, officially initiated in February, 2021, is looking for logos and slogans to promote Chaozhou as a City of Gastronomy. The event also aims to show local food culture, shape a new image of the city, increase public enthusiasm for native dishes and facilitate a harmonious integration of people, industry and the city.
Chaozhou, mountainous and rich in marine resources, boasts various local specialties deemed superb nationwide. Culturally, food is the city’s vital signature, so it is expected to take a bigger share in city development by boosting tourism and supporting sustainable relations among residents, industry and the city. In an attempt to promote local dishes at a larger global market, a distinctive and target-oriented logo that reflects folk culture and a catchy slogan are indispensable.
