Chaozhou has successively created sister-city ties with the French city of the 13th arrondissement of Paris and the U.S. cities of Monterey Park and San Francisco. Also, it has held city promotion events and local cuisine festivals in France, Italy, and Singapore and set up Chaozhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Exchange Center and Chaozhou Overseas Cultural Exchange Center in New Zealand and other countries.
