Chaozhou Chefs Association (CZCA), constituted in September, 2020, is supervised by the Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security and validated by the Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs. The voluntary joint nonprofit organization aims to oversee professional ethics and industrial regulations and secure chefs' common legal, economic interests.
The members are mainly individuals and economic organizations in the city engaged in the production, management, training and study of cooking and catering service, which consists of six committees – Master Chefs, Assessment, Chain Operation, Ingredients, Family Banquet, and Skills Research and Development. Many of them are culinary figures at national, provincial and local levels.
The Association takes “promoting local cuisine’s culture and industrial development” as its mission, covering four sections – membership service, publicity and promotion, industrial service, and training and assessment. It strives to grow into an independent and just social body that operates in line with the socialist market economy and plays an active role in economic growth.
