The Association, established in 2000 and located on the 3rd floor of Jinlong Hotel, is supervised by the Municipal Bureau of Social Resources and Social Security. As of the 4th council, with Lin Yuping as the Director, there are now 160 individual members. Among them, three are representative inheritors of Chaozhou cuisine - an intangible cultural heritage - at the provincial level, six are at the city level, eight are at the district level, and fifteen are provincial culinary masters. Besides, there are twenty organizational members.

Ever since its establishment, the Association has centered around the inheritance and promotion of Chaozhou cuisine and focused on making known the local food culture and cultivating skilled chefs. Under the instruction of the CPC Chaozhou Municipal Committee and the Chaozhou Municipal People’s Government, it has co-organized various activities to unite members, serve the society and boost citywide re-employment, making due contributions to the city’s prosperity and social stability.
